Cyprus industry shows moderate growth in early 2026
The industrial sector of Cyprus is demonstrating a restrained positive trend. According to the Statistical Service, in February 2026, the Industrial Turnover Index reached 130.7 points (base 2021=100), increasing by 0.4% compared to the same month last year.
At the same time, the situation in individual sectors remains mixed. Manufacturing recorded a 0.6% decrease despite the overall index growth. Meanwhile, other segments showed significant increases: water supply and materials recovery grew by 7.0%, electricity supply by 3.4%, and mining and quarrying by 1.3%.
Overall, for the first two months of 2026, the Industrial Turnover Index increased by 1.6% compared to the same period in 2025. This indicates a gradual recovery and adaptation of the sector to current economic conditions.
Experts note that further dynamics will depend on external demand and the resilience of key industries, primarily manufacturing.
