Pharmaceutical company Remedica, represented by board member Andreas Vasiliou and executive team member Elina Skullu, on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, signed a memorandum of cooperation with the University of Cyprus, represented by Rector Dr. Tasos Christofides and Head of the Chemistry Department Dr. Savvas Georgiadis.

The memorandum aims to strengthen collaboration between Remedica and the University of Cyprus through a series of actions and initiatives expected to benefit both parties and society as a whole. In a statement, representatives of the company and the university highlighted the role of the higher education institution, particularly the uniqueness of the Chemistry Department, as a key source of qualified personnel for the pharmaceutical sector in Cyprus.

The document emphasizes that a significant portion of scientific staff in the pharmaceutical sector are graduates of the University of Cyprus, and the development of the university contributes to the further growth of the industry and the company itself, including through job creation and increased government revenues. Board member Andreas Vasiliou stated that the agreement "marks an important milestone in cooperation, combining industry expertise with academic level to create opportunities in innovation, research, and talent development."
