Students ran across the whole of Cyprus: an ultramarathon from Akamas to Cape Greco completed

An ultramarathon relay has concluded in Cyprus, during which a group of students crossed the island on foot — from the Akamas Peninsula to Cape Greco. The race brought together dozens of participants who took turns covering sections of the route, symbolically linking the western and eastern extremities of the island.
The route passed through various regions of Cyprus and became not only a serious physical challenge, but also an event with social and symbolic meaning. The organizers note that the aim of the race was to promote an active lifestyle, teamwork, and the overcoming of boundaries — both physical and mental.
The ultramarathon’s finish at Cape Greco marked the final point of a multi-day effort, proving that the island can be united not only geographically, but also through sport and youth initiative.
