Two individuals with a suitcase full of drugs were detained at Paphos Airport. In total, 33 kilograms of marijuana were found in the luggage of the young men.
According to the police press service, two young men, aged 20 and 28, arrived at Paphos Airport this morning from Eleftherios Venizelos Airport in Athens.
Law enforcement had information that these individuals might be transporting prohibited substances.
The suspects were arrested after 33 kilograms of cannabis were discovered in their luggage during a search upon their arrival in Cyprus.
Drug Enforcement officers, in collaboration with customs authorities, handcuffed the suspects right at the airport.
