Local Showers and Hail Expected in Cyprus on Clean Monday
According to the Republic of Cyprus Meteorology Department, the island will be under the influence of moderately low atmospheric pressure on Monday, March 3. Starting Tuesday, dust is expected to appear in the atmosphere, while strong northeasterly winds will affect the region.
The morning will be mostly cloudy, with local showers and isolated thunderstorms developing in the afternoon, mainly in eastern and inland areas. Some storms may bring hail.
Daytime temperatures are forecast to reach around 19°C inland, 18°C along the coast, and 10°C in the mountains. In the evening, skies will be partly cloudy, with a chance of isolated showers later in mountainous areas, the north, and possibly some inland regions. Overnight, temperatures will drop to 8°C inland, 10°C on the coast, and 4°C in the mountains, where frost may form in certain areas.
On Tuesday, the weather will be mostly clear, with occasional cloud cover. No major temperature changes are expected through Thursday, with conditions remaining near the seasonal average.
