Kiti village to host the 7th Artichoke Festival
The 7th Artichoke Festival will take place in the village of Kiti (Larnaca) on April 26. The event will be held at Archangel Michael Square and will run from 16:00 until late in the evening.
The festival is organized by the Municipality of Dromolaxia–Meneou in collaboration with local cultural organizations and has already become a traditional event for the region.
The main goal is to promote the artichoke as one of the signature products of local cuisine, as well as to develop the gastronomic and cultural identity of the area.
Event Program
Throughout the day, guests will be able to taste various artichoke-based dishes — from traditional to modern recipes. The program includes:
- official opening ceremony;
- traditional music and dance performances;
- a concert by singer Andri Karantoni;
- workshops for children and adults (from 16:00 to 19:00);
- tours of nearby artichoke plantations.
Organizers note that the festival combines gastronomy, culture, and leisure, creating a space to discover local traditions.
