15-Year-Old Seriously Injured in a Scooter Accident in Famagusta
A traffic accident in the Famagusta district last night left a 15-year-old boy seriously injured.
According to a statement from the police press office, the accident occurred at around 9:00 PM on Anastasis Manoli Street in Xylophagou. A 35-year-old woman driving a car collided with the teenager, who was riding a scooter.
The injured boy was initially rushed to Famagusta Hospital by ambulance. Medical examinations revealed he had sustained an epidural hematoma, a lung contusion, and multiple fractures. Due to the severity of his injuries, he was transferred to Nicosia General Hospital, where he was admitted to the neurosurgery department for further treatment.
The Xylophagou police station is conducting an investigation into the incident.
