In one of the high schools in Larnaca, a scandal erupted following serious allegations of school bullying against a child on the autism spectrum.

The statement was made by the mother of the student, Georgios Loizidu. According to her, the instances of bullying began at the very start of the school year and continue to this day. This involves not only verbal abuse but also physical violence and systematic psychological pressure from other students.

Despite the disciplinary measures reportedly taken by the school administration, the problem, according to the mother, has not been resolved.

"Right now, my top priority is to protect my child," she emphasized, explaining that she decided to speak publicly to draw attention to accountability and the need to eradicate such behavior.

The matter is already being addressed at an institutional level: the police and school leadership are involved in the investigation. The mother notes that she tries to respect the official procedure while simultaneously seeking guarantees of safety for her child.

According to her, the student returned to classes today after assurances from the administration that additional protective measures would be implemented.

"Children should attend school and feel safe," Loizidu emphasized, highlighting the importance of an educational environment free from violence and intimidation.
