On 19 January 2026, the Consumer Protection Service in Cyprus reported that during the week beginning 12 January 2026, notifications concerning 72 products posing a risk to the health and safety of consumers were submitted to the Safety Gate system (the European Union’s early warning system for unsafe non-food products).
For control purposes in Cyprus, these 72 products were distributed among the competent public authorities as follows: Consumer Protection Service — 8 products; Pharmaceutical Services Department — 24 products; Environment Department — 15 products; Department of Labour Inspection — 10 products; Road Transport Department — 6 products; Department of Electromechanical Services — 6 products; Mines and Quarries Service — 2 products; Health Services — 1 product.
Consumers can review all notifications on the Safety Gate system website; the site is also available in Greek. The full list of unsafe products is published in the attached catalogue in PDF format.
The Consumer Protection Service urges economic operators to immediately notify the competent authorities if they have distributed the listed products. Consumers are advised, if they possess such products, to stop using them, return the goods to the place of purchase, and inform the relevant competent authority.
