Heavy Hailstorm Hits Cyprus Mountains
Severe weather conditions persist across Cyprus on Tuesday afternoon, with a strong hailstorm hitting the mountainous regions.

Authorities are urging drivers in these areas to exercise extreme caution.
According to police reports, the Prodromos-Troodos road is currently open only to vehicles with snow chains or four-wheel drive. The area is also experiencing dense fog and poor visibility, making driving even more dangerous.
Since early February, weather conditions in Cyprus have worsened significantly, bringing snowfall in the mountains and temperatures dropping below seasonal averages. Frost continues to affect high-altitude areas.
As of this morning, snow depth is measured at 13 cm in Troodos Square and 10 cm in Chionistra.
Last week, severe weather repeatedly forced road closures in the mountains, restricting access to only vehicles with snow chains or four-wheel drive.
