In one of the districts of Larnaca, a serious incident occurred in the evening, which is currently being investigated by the police.

According to law enforcement authorities, at least three people reported an unknown man who was causing panic in a residential area while holding an object resembling a firearm.

Preliminary information indicates that the same man had previously attempted to steal from a parked car. When local residents noticed him, he began threatening them, displaying a pistol or an object visually similar to one.

The police are conducting operational activities and are searching for the suspect. At the same time, it is being determined whether the weapon was real or a replica. The investigation is ongoing.
