In Larnaca, an attempted murder is being investigated after a knife attack in a parking lot

Police are investigating a case of attempted murder that occurred in the evening in the Kiti area of Larnaca.
At around 20:00, law enforcement received a report of blood traces in a parking lot. According to preliminary information, a car with two men and a woman was at the scene, and one of the men was seriously injured.
Later, at approximately 20:45, police received a notification from Larnaca General Hospital about the admission of a 35-year-old man with stab wounds to the lung and right arm. His condition is assessed as serious but stable.
During the investigation, police stopped the vehicle in which the victim had been taken to the hospital. Inside the car were a 38-year-old man and a 41-year-old woman. According to police, the 38-year-old man verbally admitted that he stabbed the victim with a knife.
Further checks showed that the suspect was illegally staying in the territory of the Republic of Cyprus. He was arrested and placed in custody.
The investigation is ongoing.
