Water supply interrupted in Limassol due to damage to the main pipeline
The Limassol District Self-Government Authority announced an interruption of water supply in a large part of the city due to damage to the main pipeline. The failure was detected on November 13; repair crews are working to restore water service and expect to complete the works by evening.
According to the authority, the water supply has been disrupted in areas south of Spyrou Kyprianou Avenue (eastern boundary — Archbishop Makarios I Avenue up to Mesa Geitonia Road; western boundary — Agiou Athanasiou Avenue). Also affected are neighborhoods north of Poulias, Valetsiou, Picasso, Andrea Zappa, Mozart, and Aristomenous streets.
Repair works are being carried out intensively. Residents of affected areas are advised to store drinking water in advance and, if possible, limit consumption until supply is restored. The district authority promised to keep the public informed about the progress of the works and the time of full restoration.
