The carnival has started in Limassol: “First Souvla” and a festive atmosphere from the morning

Carnival celebrations in Limassol began early on Thursday morning with the traditional “First Souvla” at the offices of Lemesos Media Group. From the very first hours, the city was filled with the scent of coals, laughter, and a festive mood.
The mayor of Limassol, Yiannis Armeftis, attended the event and, together with organizers and residents, officially kicked off the traditional festivities. Among the guests, people in carnival costumes could be seen — their bright outfits added color and energy to the celebration.
Despite the rainy weather, the citizens’ spirits remain high. The people of Limassol once again proved that neither rain nor gray skies can stop the carnival.
From 10:00, the festive events continued at the Eurobank branch on Gladston Street and at the Bank of Cyprus on Agiou Andreou Street, opposite the Ayia Napa church. The city gradually moves into full carnival mode.
