Dog Found in Trash Bin in Paphos Discharged from Hospital
The police investigation into the case of animal cruelty involving a dog found in a trash bin continues in Paphos. The injured dog has now been discharged from the veterinary clinic.

According to the Stronger Together Animal Rescue group, veterinarians have made significant progress in the dog’s recovery, allowing them to save him. The dog, named Eddie, is currently being cared for at an animal shelter, where he will stay until his condition stabilizes. Afterward, he will undergo surgery to remove a tumor.
The incident took place on January 16 in the Kissonerga-Peyia area. Passersby found the dog wrapped in a plastic bag inside a trash bin. Initially, his condition was considered critical.
The dog was quickly transported to a veterinary hospital, and the police investigation led to the arrest of two individuals.
According to the police, the two suspects, a 30-year-old and a 61-year-old, have been released pending the completion of the investigation.
So far this year, four serious cases of animal cruelty have been reported in Cyprus.
