Grenade Found in Fields Near Nicosia
A grenade was discovered on agricultural land near Nicosia. The dangerous item was found by an unidentified man.
According to the police press office, the incident occurred the evening before, around 6:45 PM. The authorities were promptly informed about the potentially hazardous object, and a team of bomb disposal experts was sent to the scene immediately.
The specialist who arrived dismantled the grenade and determined that it had been left at the site relatively recently.
After dismantling the grenade, the police seized it as evidence. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
