Livestock breeder Enver Ballı reported in a social media post on March 18 that in Northern Cyprus, milk is not being collected, fodder bales are more expensive than the fodder itself, and payments for delivered milk are not being made.

In his message, Ballı wrote that producers have become "disillusioned with production" and experience intense stress daily. He noted that young livestock breeders are getting tired and losing interest in work due to the current situation, highlighting problems with milk acceptance and payment.

The post also contains criticism of those responsible for the industry: according to Ballı, current working conditions are affecting the morale and motivation of producers. He expressed dissatisfaction that despite technological progress, livestock farming, in his opinion, is moving backwards.

The information was published on the Kıbrıs Postası website on March 18. Residents and representatives of the agricultural sector in Northern Cyprus should consider the producer's statements as voiced facts regarding problems with milk collection and payment, as well as fodder bale prices.
