Truck accident leaves part of Akdoğan without electricity

Last night in the village of Akdoğan in Northern Cyprus, a traffic accident occurred: a truck (TIR) collided with a transformer, leaving part of the settlement without electricity.
According to KIB-TEK, the accident happened around 18:55. As a result of the impact, the transformer substation was damaged, and electricity was cut off in some areas of Akdoğan.
The electricity authority warned that power restoration may occur in stages — earlier or later than expected — and urged residents to exercise caution, treating the network as live.
Work to restore electricity continues.
