Minister of Health Dr. Hakan Dinçyürek commented on the parliament’s adoption of the law ratifying the protocol regulating access to military hospital services. According to him, the document opens up an additional opportunity for the people of the TRNC to receive medical care.

Dinçyürek noted that civilian and military medical institutions in the TRNC have been cooperating for a long time, providing patients with a wider range of services. The new protocol, signed between the TRNC Ministry of Health and Turkey’s Minister of National Defense Yasar Güler, formalizes this process and expands access to treatment.

Under the agreement, citizens residing in the TRNC will be able to use military hospital services free of charge, but only through an advance appointment system. Medical expenses will be covered by the Administration of the President of the Republic of Turkey.

The Health Minister stressed that the initiative is aimed at improving the quality and accessibility of medical services. In his words, the implementation of the protocol is an important step in the development of the healthcare system and creates a new alternative for patients.

Dinçyürek expressed hope that the new agreement will bring tangible benefits to society and help relieve the burden on the existing medical infrastructure by ensuring a more efficient distribution of patients between civilian and military institutions.
