City maps of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) have been digitized and presented in the form of QR codes
The Ministry of Tourism, Culture, Youth, and the Environment has prepared city maps of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) in QR code format to promote historical sites.
Thanks to this innovation, tourists, students, and city visitors will be able to access the maps at tourist offices or on the social media pages of the Ministry of Tourism.
QR codes with maps of cities in Northern Cyprus were prepared by the Department of Tourism Promotion and Marketing, under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Tourism, Culture, Youth, and the Environment.
Currently, six cities have been digitized – Nicosia, Kyrenia, Famagusta, Güzelyurt, Iskele, and Lefke. Historical landmarks and popular tourist spots are marked on the maps.
It is noted that this new initiative is primarily aimed at visitors to the country and foreign students studying in the country for educational purposes.
After scanning the QR code on their mobile phones, users will have access to all the information on their smartphone screens.
