Meteorological Department: Highest Rainfall Recorded in Balıkesir and Gönyeli
The Meteorological Department of Northern Cyprus reported on March 2, 2026, the amount of precipitation over the last 24 hours: the highest levels were registered in Balıkesir and Gönyeli, with 2 kilograms per square meter each.
Famagusta, Girne, Lefkoşa, Boğaz, and the Near East University area each recorded 1 kilogram of precipitation per square meter.
In other regions, the amount of precipitation was less than 1 kilogram per square meter.
