IN NORTHERN CYPRUS, CIGARETTES HAVE BECOME MORE EXPENSIVE
In the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), prices for cigarettes and tobacco products have increased starting today. The average cost of a pack of cigarettes is now 53 liras.
According to local media, the price for a pack of cigarettes in retail outlets has risen by 5 Turkish liras, averaging 53 Turkish liras. Prices for tobacco products have increased by 10 Turkish liras. Thus, a 50-gram pack of tobacco now costs almost 100 TL.
It is worth noting that the last time the prices for cigarettes and tobacco products changed was in mid-September. At that time, the cost of some cigarette packs increased by 5 Turkish liras, and the price of tobacco products increased by 6 Turkish liras.
