Mobile e-Devlet service for access to public services launched in Northern Cyprus
A presentation of the mobile application "KKTC E-Devlet", designed to provide citizens with fast and secure access to public services online, was held at the Presidential Palace of Northern Cyprus (TRNC). The event was attended by President Ersin Tatar, Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, Speaker of Parliament Ziya Öztürkler, Prime Minister Ünal Üstel, Turkish Ambassador to Nicosia Ali Murat Başçeri, opposition leader Tufan Erhürman, as well as several ministers and municipal officials.

Prime Minister Ünal Üstel stated that the launch of the service is part of the economic and financial cooperation protocols with Turkey and a key component of digital transformation. According to him, in the past two years, 40 new schools have been built in the field of education and strengthening works were carried out in another 40 institutions; "all our investments are directed towards the youth," he emphasized.
TÜRKSAT CEO Ahmet Hamdi Atalay reported that Turkish technological expertise was transferred to the island and that the e-Devlet system was developed using new technologies to simplify access to public services.
For TRNC residents, this means that a number of administrative procedures will become available remotely and more quickly: issuing certificates, access to ministry and agency services, as well as improved data security. The launch marks the first major step in the implementation of digital services with financial support under agreements with Turkey.
