Tax offices in the TRNC will open on Saturday due to the filing deadline

The Tax Department of the Ministry of Finance of the TRNC announced an additional working day to serve the public ahead of the end of the 2025 tax return filing campaign.

On Saturday, May 23, the tax office’s central branch in Lefkoşa, as well as all regional branches, units serving individuals and legal entities, and payment acceptance points, will be open from 08:00 to 14:00.

According to the department, the measure was introduced to prevent queues and service overload in the final days before the deadline for filing income and corporate tax returns.

Previously, the authorities extended the filing deadline to the end of the working day on Monday, May 25, 2026.

The tax office urged citizens and companies not to leave paperwork until the last minute and to use the extra time to complete all procedures on time.

The department emphasized that the extended working hours are aimed at providing more convenient service for taxpayers and reducing the workload on offices in the final days of the reporting campaign.
