The TRNC Parliament concludes a 10-day budget marathon

Today marks the conclusion of discussions on the 2024 budget at the General Assembly of the Republic. Deputies gathered today for the final day of the 10-day budget marathon.

On the agenda of the General Assembly, convened at 11:30 under the chairmanship of Speaker Zorlu Töre, are the budgets of the Ministry of Finance and revenue totaling 38 billion 48 million 576 thousand 500 Turkish liras.

The budget discussion will conclude with a vote on the entire bill for the general budget for the 2024 fiscal year, amounting to 78 billion 717 million Turkish liras.

Recall that the General Assembly of the Republic began discussing the budget on Monday, December 11.

Yesterday, on the ninth day of the parliamentary session, the budget of the Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources, amounting to 3 billion 28 million 983 thousand 900 Turkish liras, was approved by a majority vote.
