Planned power outages scheduled in Ercan and Karaman areas
Temporary power outages are planned in Northern Cyprus in the coming days as part of infrastructure projects to modernize the electrical grids. This was announced by the Turkish Cypriot electricity corporation Kıb-Tek.
On Monday, from 09:00 to 11:00, the power supply will be cut off in the Balıköy areas, part of the old Ercan airport, as well as rural sections of Demirhan. The work is being carried out under the 'Electricity Supply for Gas Pipeline' project.
Additionally, an outage is expected in Karaman village on Monday. Electricity will be unavailable from 10:00 to 13:00 in the eastern part of the settlement and the water pump area. The reason is modernization work on a medium-voltage line.
Kıb-Tek emphasized that the outages are temporary and necessary to improve the reliability of the energy supply and infrastructure development. Residents and business owners are urged to take necessary measures in advance to minimize potential inconvenience.
