Cyprus Police: serious crime rate drops by nearly 18%
Chief of Cyprus Police Kasım Adalyer reviewed the results for 2025. According to him, the number of serious crimes decreased by 17.6% compared to the previous year.
The police note that the decline is the result of intensified patrols, targeted operations, and more effective work by investigative units.
The department states that efforts to ensure public safety will continue in 2026.
