Northern Cyprus Police Reinforced with Drones, X-rays, and New Equipment
The Northern Cyprus Police Strengthening Foundation (POLVAK) continues the modernization of the General Directorate of Police (PGM) by delivering new equipment and technology.
As part of the program, the police received:
— 12 X-ray machines
— 100 radio sets
— 10 drones
— 3 laptops
— 3 projectors
— portable flashing beacons
— handheld metal detectors
— uniforms for officers
Additionally, service vehicles were previously handed over as part of the support. The total value of the equipment provided exceeded 10.2 million Turkish Liras, while an additional contribution from the Turkish police support fund reached 23 million Liras.
The equipment presentation took place at the police headquarters with the participation of department leadership and POLVAK representatives.
Police Chief Ali Adalıer emphasized that modern technologies make the work of law enforcement agencies more effective and increase the level of safety.
In turn, foundation representatives stated they would continue to support the police to ensure they meet modern requirements and challenges.
