Fire at a farm in the Aydınköy – Gaziveren area localized before spreading
A fire broke out at a dairy farm located between the villages of Aydınköy and Gaziveren, which was promptly localized and did not spread to nearby areas. The blaze caused a brief alarm in the district, but serious consequences were avoided.
According to preliminary data, the fire started in a field due to dry grass igniting for a yet unknown reason. Strong winds contributed to the rapid spread of the flames towards the farm buildings.
Firefighting crews from Güzelyurt were dispatched to the scene and, with the support of local residents, quickly began extinguishing the fire. Thanks to coordinated actions, the fire was prevented from spreading to the main farm facilities and neighboring plots.
A significant role in extinguishing the fire was played by local farmers, who used tractors and plows to create firebreaks, plowing the land and thereby stopping the spread of the fire.
The fire was brought under control in a short time, and no casualties were reported. Authorities are continuing to investigate the exact cause of the ignition.
