Accident in Kyrenia: one car involved in two crashes in one night
In Kyrenia, on Uğur Mumcu Street, a traffic accident occurred during the night of February 5 involving the same car.
According to the police, at around 02:30, 28-year-old Öykü Saylar, driving car UP 376 and under the influence of alcohol (142 mg of alcohol in her blood), lost control, hit a traffic island, and collided with car PS 900, driven by a 38-year-old man. No one was injured.
About half an hour later, at around 03:00, the same car UP 376 was driven by 24-year-old Başak Nur Ak, also under the influence of alcohol (147 mg of alcohol). In the parking lot of a bar on the same street, she hit three parked cars.
In both cases, there were no injuries. Both drivers were detained on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and causing an accident.
The investigation is ongoing.
