Bridge near Atatürk Teachers' Academy in Nicosia to be widened this Sunday
The Nicosia Turkish Municipality (LTB) announced that work to widen the bridge opposite the Atatürk Teachers' Academy will begin this Sunday to improve pedestrian safety. The announcement was published on March 26, 2026.
In the municipality's statement, it was noted that until the works are completed, traffic will be organized in a controlled manner in a single lane. Drivers and route users are asked to pay attention to the instructions of road services and temporary traffic management schemes installed at the site.
The works are aimed at improving pedestrian infrastructure and increasing the overall safety of the crossing. The municipality emphasizes that traffic regulation measures have been introduced for the duration of the works and will remain in effect until their full completion.
Residents and drivers are advised to take potential temporary delays into account when planning trips in this direction and to strictly follow the instructions of road service personnel and road signs. The municipality promises to minimize inconvenience as much as possible and complete the work promptly.
