4 kilograms of drugs seized in Metehan during operation "Trap"

At the Metehan checkpoint in Northern Cyprus, the police conducted an anti-drug operation under the code name "Kurt Kapanı" ("Wolf Trap"), during which approximately 4 kilograms of narcotics were discovered and seized.
According to the police, the operation was carried out based on preliminary operational information. During the inspection of the vehicle and personal belongings of the suspects, law enforcement officers found drugs that were presumably intended for illegal distribution.
The suspects were detained, and an investigation has been launched against them. The narcotics have been sent for examination to determine their exact composition and origin. The police continue the investigation, not ruling out possible links of the detainees to a broader illegal drug trafficking network.
