An earthquake occurred in the sea off the northern coast of Cyprus
A minor earthquake occurred in the sea near Northern Cyprus. There were no casualties or damages as a result of the incident.
According to the TRNC Department of Meteorology, underground tremors were recorded yesterday evening around 17:43. A very weak earthquake occurred approximately 42 km from the seismic station in Hisarköy.
As a result of the initial assessment conducted by the Department, it was determined that the epicenter of the earthquake was in the sea off the coast of Northern Cyprus, at a depth of approximately 5 km, at coordinates 35.58 degrees north latitude and 33.41 degrees east longitude.
