Film screening of Montparnasse 19 at the A. G. Leventis Gallery

We invite you to the screening of the biographical drama «Montparnasse 19», telling the story of the last months of the life of the Italian artist Amedeo Modigliani. The action takes place in 1919 in Paris. Trapped in poverty and creative stagnation, the artist meets young Jeanne Hébuterne, who becomes his wife and muse.

Despite the disapproval of Jeanne's wealthy parents and Modigliani's progressing illness, the couple tries to find salvation in the south of France. This is a touching story of love, struggle against circumstances, and a genius unrecognized during his lifetime. The film is shown in French.
