Rain, Thunderstorms, and Hail Expected Across Cyprus on May 30
According to the Meteorological Department of the Republic of Cyprus, moderate low pressure is expected over the region on Friday, May 30.
In the morning, the weather will be mostly clear with occasional patches of increased cloud cover. However, as the day progresses, clouds will thicken, leading to showers and thunderstorms, especially in the mountains, inland areas, and the north. Hail is possible during the storms. The sea is expected to be rough, with some areas experiencing turbulent conditions.
According to the forecast, daytime temperatures will reach around 28°C inland, 25–27°C along the coasts, and about 21°C in the mountains.
By evening, the weather will become mostly cloudy, with showers and thunderstorms likely—mainly across the western half of the island. Nighttime temperatures are expected to drop to around 15°C inland, 18°C along the coast, and 9°C in the mountains.
Saturday’s forecast includes variable cloud cover, isolated showers, and the possibility of scattered storms, which may bring hail in some areas. Temperatures are expected to remain steady through Monday.
