ALPHA Cyprus and Aspon Consulting launch "EP: Your Voice, Your Future" program to improve connections with the European Parliament

ALPHA Cyprus, together with the consulting company Aspon Consulting, presented the program "EP: Your Voice, Your Future," co-financed by the European Union, aimed at bringing the residents of Cyprus closer to the activities of the European Parliament and strengthening trust in European institutions. The program was presented on September 10, 2025.

According to ALPHA Cyprus, despite 20 years of EU membership, low levels of trust and participation persist on the island: 44% of respondents are satisfied with the functioning of European democracy, 75% believe their voice is not heard in Brussels, while 59% recognize the importance of participating in Union affairs. The project includes information campaigns, fact-checking initiatives, interactive events, and open discussions aimed at developing critical thinking and active dialogue on European and Cypriot issues.

For the residents of Cyprus, this means additional channels to obtain verified information about EU decisions and opportunities to participate directly in discussions. The organizers promise accessible formats — lectures, debates, and fact-checking — which can help counter disinformation and increase awareness ahead of European elections and initiatives.
