Northern Bypass Road Planned for Limassol
The transport situation in Limassol continues to deteriorate, with approximately 13,000 new cars entering the city's roads annually. In response, the Minister of Transport announced plans for the construction of the Limassol Northern Bypass.
Tenders for the first two sections of the project are reportedly scheduled to be announced by the end of 2026.
In parallel, the authorities intend to implement several smaller road projects to connect the northern part of the city and reduce the load on highway interchanges. The primary goal is to improve daily commuting and enhance road safety.
