The Municipality of Larnaca will hold the third annual Jazz Festival at the renovated Zuhuri Square from September 4 to 6, 2025. All concerts will be free, making the event especially accessible to a wide audience.

The festival will open on Thursday, September 4, with an educational seminar “Main Categories of Jazz Music” conducted by renowned musician Akis Farmakalidis. The seminar is designed for all jazz enthusiasts, regardless of skill level. Prior registration is required by sending an application via email.

On Friday, September 5, the stage will feature Morfitis Small Big Band, representing the jazz-fusion style, with musicians Georgios El Haber on trumpet and Georgios Morfitis on piano. They will be followed by performances of The Visitors ensemble with vocalist George Kalopedis performing swing standards.

On Saturday, September 6, the concert program continues with internationally recognized saxophonist Gilad Atzmon and his quartet performing compositions in bebop and hard-bebop styles. The festival will conclude with The Nonets ensemble featuring vocalist Eleonora Russu, offering swing and Latin-jazz numbers.

The festival fosters a spirit of musical diversity and freedom, uniting generations and styles — from fusion to classical jazz elements such as swing, bebop, and Latin-jazz. Evening events are scheduled to begin at 20:30.

Thus, from September 4 to 6, Zuhuri Square in Larnaca will become the center of jazz culture: educational programs, international and Cypriot musicians, free admission, and a rich program await guests of the third Larnaca Jazz Festival 2025.
