Police are investigating two separate incidents involving the shooting of dogs in the Pera Chorio Nisou area (April 27, 2026). These cases follow complaints filed by animal owners.
The first incident was recorded on April 22: a dog named Miley sustained a gunshot wound. According to law enforcement, a suspect has been identified during the investigation and has reportedly admitted involvement. Three firearms were also seized as part of the case.
The second incident occurred on April 10, but was only reported on April 21. A dog named Rocky was shot, and the owner subsequently took it to a veterinary clinic. There, the animal underwent surgery to remove the pellets.
After the report was received, the owner was asked to accompany police officers to the scene for an on-site inspection. Authorities believe an air rifle was used in the second case.
It is reported that both episodes occurred in the Pera Chorio Nisou area, but so far there is no evidence that the cases are linked.
