A fire broke out in a residential house in the village of Arodes on the Akamas Peninsula in the evening, causing significant damage to the building. According to emergency services, the cause of the fire was a faulty chimney system of the fireplace.
The fire started after 9:00 p.m. in a two-storey stone house where a foreign couple was present at the time of the incident. The residents noticed the fire in time and managed to leave the house before the flames spread, so no one was injured.
