Three suspects arrested in Limassol following night attack on young man
Limassol police have detained three individuals aged 20, 22, and 24 in connection with a case involving assault, illegal possession of a weapon, and conspiracy to commit a serious crime. The incident occurred during the night when a 20-year-old man was attacked on one of the city's streets.
According to the victim, at around 1:00 AM, a car stopped near him, from which three unknown individuals emerged. The men attacked him and subsequently fled the scene.
Following the attack, the victim was transported by ambulance to the Limassol General Hospital. Doctors diagnosed him with lung contusions and lacerations in the abdominal area, which required stitches.
The young man was hospitalized for further observation. According to medical staff, his condition is stable and not life-threatening.
During the investigation, police obtained witness testimony and other data that allowed them to identify the alleged attackers. All three were arrested under judicial warrants and placed in custody.
The investigation into the case is being continued by the Limassol Criminal Investigation Department (CID). Law enforcement officers are determining the motives for the attack and checking the suspects' possible involvement in other incidents.
