Police Officer in Paphos Arrested on Fraud Charges
Authorities in Paphos are investigating a police officer accused of fraud. The officer is suspected of illegally acquiring property, accepting bribes, and engaging in money laundering and other related offenses.
The Internal Audit Service of the police is leading the investigation following the officer’s arrest on Tuesday evening at approximately 6:00 PM.
In an official statement, the police leadership reaffirmed their commitment to fighting corruption, stating:
“The police remain dedicated to their mission and to serving the community with honesty and respect.”
The investigation is ongoing, with further developments expected as evidence is reviewed.
