Paphos Authorities Prepare for Arrival of Foreign Leaders
The authorities in Paphos are getting the city ready for the upcoming visit from foreign leaders. Heads of several countries are expected to arrive in Cyprus to participate in the Synod of Mediterranean Countries in Tsada on October 11.
Among the distinguished guests, Paphos will welcome the President of Egypt and the King of Jordan. In preparation for their arrival, a "clean sweep" operation is underway to clear the route that the leaders’ vehicles will take from Paphos Airport.
According to the Paphos Municipality, officials are removing billboards along both the main and secondary roads leading to the convoy route. This measure is being taken for security reasons and to enhance the city’s image.
