The courthouse in Paphos was pelted with stones
In Paphos, another attack on a government building has occurred. Unknown individuals pelted stones at the premises of the district court.
According to the police press service, the damage was discovered this morning when court employees arrived at their workplaces. As a result of the vandals' attack, windows of the building were shattered.
Paphos Police Chief Michalis Nicolaou stated that the police are reviewing surveillance camera footage in the area and are calling on witnesses to come forward regarding the attack.
The Police Chief also reminded that in recent days, Paphos has witnessed attacks on other government offices, including the Social Insurance Office, the Citizens' Service Center, and the District Labor Office. These buildings were also targeted with stone-throwing.
Earlier, in connection with these attacks, the police had already arrested a 29-year-old man. However, he was released from custody last night after being charged.
