Cyprus Resident Complains About Illegal Dumping on Her Land

A resident of the Prodromi area in Cyprus has complained about the ongoing illegal dumping of construction debris and waste on her private property.
According to Stella Petraki, a teacher and landowner, her plot in the Koiladi – Stavropetra area, approximately one kilometer from Prodromi on the road to Droushia, is regularly turned into an impromptu landfill.
The woman stated that she has repeatedly cleared the area at her own expense and installed warning signs, but they are removed, and the dumping continues.
She described the situation as unacceptable, emphasizing that it not only causes her financial loss but also harms the environment and creates issues with municipal authorities.
Petraki appealed to those dumping the waste, calling on them to immediately stop such actions and show respect for private property and nature. According to her, the area is now under surveillance, and violators will be reported to the competent authorities.
