16 EMU Academics Named Among the World’s Most Influential Scientists
Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) continues to receive recognition for its excellence in research. Sixteen EMU staff members have been named in the prestigious list of the "World’s Most Influential Scientists."
This global ranking was compiled through a study conducted by a group of American and Dutch researchers, under the coordination of Stanford University in the United States. The list was created using data from Scopus, with support from Elsevier B.V., a leading academic publishing company.
The ranking includes 223,152 scientists who represent the top 2% of researchers worldwide. Compared to last year, the number of scientists in the list increased by 12,954.
The number of scientists from Turkish universities included in the list has grown from the previous year, reaching a total of 1,533. Meanwhile, 92 scientists from universities in the Republic of Cyprus made it into the ranking.
EMU ranks first in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) for research quality, according to the Times Higher Education rankings, and second among universities in Turkey. It is also the only university in the TRNC to be featured in the QS World University Rankings.
