Authorities step up fight against illegal migration: deportation of nine people begins

The Ministry of Interior of the TRNC announced the start of deportation procedures for nine individuals following large-scale inspections conducted simultaneously in six districts of the country. The operation was organized to ensure public order, combat illegal migration, and prevent unlawful activities.

According to the department's statement, the inspections took place under the coordination of the Migration Management Center with the participation of district administrations and the General Directorate of Police. Officers conducted inspections at workplaces and residential premises, checking identity documents as well as residence and work permits.

As a result of the raids, individuals who violated migration legislation were identified. Administrative and legal procedures are ongoing for those detained, after which deportation will be carried out.

The Ministry emphasized that authorities do not intend to compromise on the issue of combating illegal migration. The department announced its intention to strengthen inspections and expand control across the country in the coming period.

At the same time, citizens were urged to be vigilant and report cases of unregistered employment and illegal residence. The authorities assured that measures to protect public order and safety will continue on a permanent basis.
