CFA Society Cyprus to host online forum on careers in finance
On May 14, 2026, the Cyprus Society of Financial Analysts (CFA Society Cyprus) is organizing an online event dedicated to career opportunities in the financial sector. The forum will bring together students, young professionals, CFA Program candidates, representatives of the CFA Institute, and leading employers in Cyprus.
The main goal of the event is to introduce participants to modern trends in the financial industry and help young professionals better navigate career prospects both in Cyprus and abroad.
The organizers note that the financial profession is changing rapidly. Today, a career in this field is no longer limited to traditional areas such as investment analysis or portfolio management. Demand is growing in private wealth management, fintech, banking, consulting, risk management, corporate finance, and private markets.
These changes are also reflected in the development of the CFA Program. Specifically, new specialized tracks have appeared at Level III: Portfolio Management, Private Wealth, and Private Markets.
According to data from CFA Society Cyprus, the majority of the organization's members work in investment companies, banks, consulting and auditing firms, and the asset management sector. At the same time, the largest category among candidates remains Level I participants, many of whom are already building careers in the financial sector.
The event program includes a welcome address by the President of CFA Society Cyprus, Constantinos Kourouyiannis, a presentation of the CFA Program by CFA Institute representative Rob Langrick, and an overview of career prospects in Cyprus by Society Secretary Kyriakos Inios. Additionally, participants will be able to interact with employers and ask experts questions during a special Q&A session.
The organizers emphasize that the forum will serve as a platform for professional networking and help young specialists better understand the requirements of today's financial market.
