A specialized FBI team has arrived in Cyprus to provide advisory support in the investigation of the high-profile "Senti" case. The first face-to-face meeting between American specialists and Cypriot investigators and police leadership is scheduled for tomorrow.

According to sources, the group consists of three experts, including the mission leader. It is emphasized that FBI personnel will not conduct their own investigation, interrogations, or evidence collection, as they lack jurisdiction in Cyprus.

Why the FBI has arrived in Cyprus

The FBI's involvement is due to the need for an independent and in-depth assessment of the materials already collected. The American specialists have expertise in complex international investigations, as well as behavioral and analytical profiling.

Their task is not to replace the local investigation, but to strengthen it through:

analysis of evidence and testimony,

identification of possible contradictions,

assessment of the credibility of statements,

study of the profiles of involved persons.

The experts will also have access to telecommunications data and other materials collected by Cypriot law enforcement agencies.

It is expected that their work will help identify "weak spots" in the case and suggest additional areas of analysis, which could improve the quality of the final conclusions.

Authorities emphasize that the investigation remains fully under the control of the Cypriot police. The FBI's involvement is purely advisory and aimed at increasing the effectiveness of work already done.

Sources note that the investigation in Cyprus has already conducted large-scale and comprehensive work, and the involvement of international experts is seen as an additional step toward objectivity and transparency in the process.
