Cyprus to Launch Youth Culture Card
The government of the Republic of Cyprus intends to launch the Youth Culture Card, available to individuals aged 18 and above.
As announced over the weekend by President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides, the launch of the Youth Culture Card project will be declared this week in collaboration with the Deputy Ministry of Culture.
The Youth Culture Card was one of the president's pre-election commitments and aims to provide financial support to young people, enabling them to engage with culture and contemporary artistic creativity.
The head of state also added that supporting and promoting culture is one of the main tasks of his government.
It is worth noting that the proposal to launch the Youth Culture Card was previously approved by the Council of Ministers. Its objective is to assist 18-year-old residents in participating in various forms of art and cultural events across different locations in Cyprus.
The card can be obtained upon reaching the age of 18 and is valid until the next birthday, within a year. It will be effective for 12 months from the date of issue.
It is anticipated that the card will operate on a prepaid basis, with an amount of 200 euros loaded onto it, which the cardholder can spend on cultural events.
